Because Q3A does not want to work, I decided to do STV:EF benchmarks!
My system:

Intel Celeron 300a Overclocked to 450
STB Velocity 4400 (TNT 1 16 Meg)
128mbs of ram!

Ok, now that you know my crappy system.

These benchmarks were on "fastest" setting.

Demo0000 = 22.8 FPS!
Demo0001 = 24.3 FPS!

woohoo! And this is on fastest too :p Talk about a piece of crap.

How to you run the benchmarks?

I just replaced my Hercules Dynamight TNT with a Prophet II MX and tested in Quake II

640x480 150fps
600x600 143.9
960x720 121.7
1024x768 109.4
1280x960 72.9
1600x1200 50.4

All 32bit colour with a 16bit z buffer. Thats faster than my TNT at 1600x1200 that I was getting at 800x600x16!

Stock speed as well. Id love to test it with elite force so please let me know how.

Same as quake 3 ;)
Go to console (~), and type in

"timedemo 1"

demo0000"

It will play the demo, and you check FPS by going back into console after its over.

BTW, I'm getting a Hercules 3d Phophet II MX also. Those are nice FPS ;), may i ask, what cpu you are running at? I'm pretty sure its faster than mine (300a @ 450).

I assume thats on "Fastest" setting, except the Resolution is changed?

Nope still does not work.

I start a game, get the console up.
Type timedemo 1
then demo demo0000
and nothing happens. If i close the console the gam continues as normal.

What am i missing? is there something on the startup i am not doing?

Then I have no idea.

What are you doing this on? The holomatch or single player?

BFG10K, the game rocks! its really short though, I got it for x-mas, and beat it the same day. I say, its 10-20 hours long. Pretty short good game though! and a OK story line. The ship itself its based on the Voyager tv set, and the actors on the show also are the talkers (the chick who plays janeway on the show, is the same voice for janeway in the game). Pretty realistic for StarTrek. 9 weapons.

Multiplayer rocks. Improved Q3A engine.

Slatt01, I give up :p I've done everything I know, and we still can't get it to work.

Does it have a hard/nightmare difficulty?

Cool.

Pretty realistic for StarTrek.

OK, you've convinced me. I'll have to go out and buy it. ;)

Yeah, it has 4 different difficulties. Based on ST ranks or something : Ensign, Lieutent, Commander, and captain. Pretty good game, its pretty short single player though.
