I'm really hyped for this! Moral dilemmas and Star Trek is the perfect combination, I'm amazed this game wasn't made years ago. $40 seems like a reasonable price too. Anyone else planning on picking this up?

I'll probably pick it up when/if it's coming to Steam. I'm currently re-watching Star Trek DS9 after almost two decades and I think it's a lot better than the current shows. I like that this game is set in that era of Trek.

Except that the choices made in all the tell tale games I played made next to no difference... I.e. the walking deads had several instances of choose who to save or side with in which the "npcs" "will remember that", only for those characters to say 1 different line or die off in the next segment anyway, because they churn out too many mediocre adventure games to waste time fleshing out different outcomes or something...

The Witcher series handled choices much better, and some choices actually somewhat mattered, with choices in Witcher 2 actually influencing things in Witcher 3.

DS9 is a show ahead of its time and nothing like other Trek.

- Sisko is an almost perfect blend of Kirk and Picard. Dyed in the wool Federation man that fully understands, accepts, and breaks the federation's rules and limits for its own preservation.

- Almost perfect ensemble cast.

-The villains are incredible. Weyloun, Eddington, and of course the creme de la creme Gul Dukat. Just, incredible.

-Klingons are awesome. Cardassians are annoying. Ferengi are infuriating. Does a ton to flesh out Alpha Quadrant species.

- The Defiant is a mean little ship.

I too am watching the entire DS9 series again years later. I always found DS9 to be one of the worst Star Trek series made. The first few seasons are just boring. DS9 gets great in the last few seasons. It's funny how we all have such different opinions on all of the Star Trek series. I know so many people that really disliked Voyager but its my fav. I've rewatched this series multiple times. I'm currently in the middle of season 7 right now. I'm in season 5 of DS9 as well.

1. ST: Voyager - I grew more attached to the characters on this ship than any other.
2. ST: TOS - grew up watching these. I'm a fan because of this show.
3. ST: TNG - Classic. Just so much goodness.
4. ST: The Lower Decks - This show is awesome. I'm not a big fan of toons but I love this show.
5. ST: Picard - I really dig this show even if Picard is well past his prime.
6. ST: DS9 - too boring most of the time. The final couple of seasons really bring it back though.
7. ST: Enterprise - Cool show. I actually liked this a lot but it ended too soon.
8. ST: Discovery - Too much crying, too many emotionally wrecked characters. Its hard to stomach. Still watch it though. it's Star Trek.

Not ranked is Strange New Worlds because I have not started watching it yet. It looks pretty damn good though.

I've bought this now, but not played it yet- apparently it's got a few bugs, so I'm waiting for the first patch. Really excited though!

IMO:

1: DS9 - Solid Trek that really lets the universe and characters breath and be challenged. Feels the most "modern" in story telling format.

2: TOS - Never got a chance to get bad, 3 seasons of excellence. Dated and some episodes, while progressive for the time, are absolutely cringe inducing now.

3: TNG - Another classic. Highest highs, but some pretty low lows too.

4: VOY -If the whole show was just the "Year of Hell" double feature taken out to seven seasons this would bump to the top of the list. The syndicated nature of the show absolutely kneecapped it's concept. Battlestar Galactica felt more like what VOY should have been than VOY.

5: ENT - Season 1 & 2 were basically a waste. S3 and the Xindi arc started getting interesting. S4's mini arcs were great. Just wasn't enough and that ending sucked.

6:TAS - No one seems to know about The Animated Series and that's for the better. Features the TOS cast, but it's a terrible show and everyone was more caught up with being able to have "actual aliens" thanks to the animation that they forgot to write an actual script.

Haven't seen any of the current gen shows.
