Okay, Klingons don't have a much different natural lifespan than human beings. However, Worf is in ST6: Undiscovered Country as Bones and Kirk's defense attorney in the Klingon high courts.

If, as explained in ST: Generations, Kirk's generation was running about the galaxy when Picard's grandfather was in diapers, how the hell can Worf exist over the course of, like, four generations?

I haven't seen the ST movies in ages (don't think I've seen all of them even)

Is he playing the character "Worf" or is it just Michael Dorn as a Klingon?

(ST reuses actors a lot)

EDIT: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) .... Colonel Worf

hmmmm

I'm not much of a Trekkie, but IIRC, it's Worf's grandfather, also named Worf.

Sounds plausible. In the credits Michael Dorn is listed as "Colonel Worf," and I don't recall the ST:TNG Worf having had such a rank in the Klingon empire...

HE had his rank/title/land/honor stripped from him once.
Got it back IIRC.

Yeah, but was the son of Mogh a colonel?

It's Michael Dorn in the credits and the Klingon High Court judge person whatever clearly addresses him as Worf. I just finished watching the DVD.

FOUND IT! Undiscovered Country takes place in 2293 -- Worf wasn't born till 2340. It must have been his grandfather.

He is Worf's grandfather. I forget where they explained this.. but that's how it is explained.

2295 - Destruction of the Enterprise-A

Does that help?

I really have no knowledge of the original series stuff.

(Also in 2295 is James Kirk gets sucked into the Nexus)

Maybe Worf's super extended life is one of those things Klingons don't like to talk about with outsiders, just like the human-like appearance of Klingons in TOS.

Yeah, I figured it out. See my post above. The ST:TNG Worf was born 47 years after the events in Star Trek VI.

The Nexus can't possibly be the explanation of this.

However, since others have said Worf's grandfather was also named Worf, that seems to be the simple solution. Awesomeness.
