Star Fox Zero is meh

Controls are poo. You have to constantly look back and forth between your TV and that fookin gamepad.

Getting sick of that thing. Its like Nintendo ran out of ideas and decided the next home console should just be a repeat of the DS. Except you only get one screen and have to supply the other one yourself.

The only nice feature is that all radio contact comes thru the speaker on your pad, so now you can finally silence those idiot wingmen once and for all. Of course Nintendo managed to screw that up as well. A lot of the important dialog and narration comes thru the gamepad speaker as well. It sounds like crap.

Graphics are nice, sound and music are nice. Theres tons of junk to unlock, missions are chapter based and you can go back to replay on higher difficulties.

Overall, not worth 60 bucks. Nintendo needs to do better.

"sound and music are nice"

I get what you're saying, but still a funny pair of phrases to sit so closely to one another.

"Overall, not worth 60 bucks. Nintendo needs to do better."

Way to sum up all but maybe 2 games on the Wii U.

I can not express how disappointed I am with this game. After a hour with this mess, I put it aside and have not desire to touch it again. I ended up using the button to fix the camera more than anything else. Yes, a key feature is a button that corrects the camera because it gets off track that often.

So there is no same screen multi? One of the reasons I was debating this game was how fun the 4 player was on the N64 version.

Even if there was, it would be vomit inducing since you have to switch between control and TV often to play. Forced game mechanic.

I think the tablet has been nothing but a liability for Nintendo. High cost and it hasn't added real value to the games. I'm hopeful than nintendo recognizes the number of people that didn't bother with the U when making the NX and includes Star Fox as one of the games that gets a port for it, hopefully with a traditional control scheme.

its fine for maps or status screens, but I hate using it as a main element in the gameplay.
Same with the DS.
