So, I've seen some fleet org composition backgrounds/charts/whatever, and I was thinking of making one for AT Ballers. If you're interested in participating and part of AT Ballers, please list all the ships you currently own. I will create a listing and keep it updated. They won't be arranged by owner, but by ship type to show our communal ownership.

I'll start here, I guess.

Constellation Aquila
Retaliator
Avenger
Sabre x2

RSI
Constellation Aquila

Origin
315p
350R
M50

Aegis
Gladius
Sabre

Anvil
Hornet Ghost

Kruger
Merlin (x2)

And...
Greycat PTV (Awwwwwwww Yeaaahhhhh)

Super Hornet
Vanguard
Sabre
Cutlass Blue
Phoenix
890 Jump
Herald
Aurora

I nominate you as the official ATBALLER escort to parties on Terra. I call dibs on the hot-tub.

BTW....has anyone looked at the 85X concepts (the Origin included ship for the 890)? It looks like they've equipped it as a snub fighter in some models. I really hope so. If they also make it available separately like the Merlin, even better.

If you look at the side view, it appears those are S2s on the wings and a canard turret on the bottom. Some pretty serious firepower for a snub. If you can replace the canard with a size bigger fixed like you can on other ships, it would have the same firepower as a Gladius. I'm guessing no, as it would probably interfere with the front landing gear and the dropped nose angle. Still, the pair of S1s would be very decent.

I'm down for that man. I;ll make sure to give everyone the pass code for the liquor cellar and pool deck. haha.

I recouped a significant portion of my fleet cost by purchasing two 890s and Connie Phoenix's on release and selling them at a markup on the grey market.

A few people have mentioned this on the CIG forums but: the current free fly period (use the Citizencon 2015 code) covers ALL flyable ships in AC.

That includes the Glaive and Scythe.

This is the first time those ships have been flyable to the masses (without owning, being a subscriber, or RECing after winning VS).

I'll probably give them a go this weekend just to see what the Vanduul see when they're kicking my ass.

Were you able to spend some time in the Glaive?

I thought it flew really well. Reminds me a lot of flying a Gladius.

Didn't care for the weapons so much, or that (I believe) you can't change them.

Don't think I liked it enough to ever consider owning one, though. Still pretty cool to get the chance to fly it.

Honestly, I enjoyed flying the Glaive and Scythe quite a bit just because......they're different. The blood red HUD is visually unique and the sounds of the Vanduul weapons (especially that war cannon or whatever they call it) are awesome (unless you're on the other end). I like the entry/exit animations too (although CIG has some polish work to do here).

But owning one.....yeah, not likely. I mean, I'll try and collect every ship in the game but these won't be at the top of my list.

If any of you posting aren't in ATBALLERS, please post your handle so I can add you to my contacts list (if you want). ;)

Mine:

Aurora LX.

Heh, I used to have the Aurora LN, Avenger, Starfarer, Freelancer, Merchantman, Khartu-al, Constellation, and Retaliator in addition to the Super Hornet and 315P. All had LTI, ended up selling everything but the last two for a very nice profit.

Nice. CIG has already indicated that insurance costs will be rather minimal, so I don't understand all the LTI buyer's obsessing.

That's not to say I don't want some of the other ships.

Ever since the video came out of the 300i I've wanted one. It's kindof like that whole gotta-have Lexus style marketing thing going on, but honestly it's my kind of ship. If I could have started out in it, I would have, but my budget was set.

The ship that I want though: MISC Freelancer. That's what I want to live in. It's what I want to make my fortune in. I'm a giant carebear, I love exploring, trading, adventuring. The Freelancer is me.

I'd also like a Cutlass for when I hang out with my pirating friends. It's just a cool looking ship that seems to inspire that sort of fear.

But for me, the Aurora LX is going to be it. That's all I'm spending money on until the game comes out because that's how I play games until I determine whether they're worth spending more of my cash on or not. That and I don't mind being the idiot casual who takes 3 years to do that whole progression thing the way the developers intended it.

That's a valid approach as any, especially when you consider that if you want to try out other ships, you can play Spectrum Matches and rent most of them with REC.

I'm wondering if rentals for the bigger ships will be available with REC when AC2.0 comes out....I hope so, I would like to take the Freelancer / Retaliator / Redeemer for a spin when they become flyable.

BTW....I also love the 3xx series - ever since that commercial. At this point, the 300i and 315p are some of the most balanced, easiest flying ships in the game. I'm excited to see what they do with the update pass scheduled. I'm hoping for a better interior - - they really improved that approach with the Avenger and Mustang series.

It's also very combat capable with the right pilot. I've watched BravenTooth destroy everyone on the map in BR numerous times with his 315p.

I would love to get an Avenger, but I'm on the fence about not being able to swap out the front canon. Right now it's probably the best baked in ballistic - high DPS and much faster velocity than the Mantis (without annoying overheat or spin-up courtesy of 1.3). I'm just worried about it getting a nerf or trying to mix it with other weapons to get a close PIP, as they keep changing that.

I'll still probably end up with one, because I really like the design, and it also has a decent cargo hold (the 3xx doesn't right now).

Man you and I are of very similar mind.

After the Herald (I like the ugly looks and non-traditional role of that ship), the Freelancer is my main desire.

To me, Star Citizen will be fun if I can earn my way up from my Aurora in my Selfland hangar to a Freelancer, Herald, and my old Aurora sitting in a Revel & York. Oh, and an M50 because I like to go fast on occasion.

Yep I am very similar, which is why I sold off all my ships. I want to go through the progression of ships (mostly) naturally. I was able to support SC development by a good amount, I was able to make a good profit from selling, and now I'm just sitting back waiting for release which is when I put those profits to work by building a gaming rig just for SC. :D

String, hopefully your bandwidth isn't used up yet, lol. 1.3e is out. They seem to have fixed the falling through floors. What I find interesting is that I never had the issue and I have a PCIe SSD.

Hangar Module
Fixes:
Ships
  • Fixed an issue where the interior of the Retaliator was colored red.
  • Fixed an issue where the Avenger sleeping quarters was causing characters to bug into the Avenger roof.
Technical
  • Fixed an issue where returning to the Hangar from any game mode would sometimes cause the character to fall through the level or become stuck in the floor, when the game is installed on a high-speed drive.

Arena Commander Module:
Balance/Tweaks:
Components
  • The “Wrath” Plasma cannon has had damage increased, heat pool increased and coolant increased.
  • Reduced rate of fire for the Tarantula GT-870.
  • Damage for 20mm ballistic ammo has been reduced by 3.
  • Damage for 60mm ballistic ammo has been increased by 20.
Fixes:
Ships
  • Fixed an issue where the 300 series (all variants) had poor handling and could roll unexpectedly.
Technical
  • Fixed an issue where using or being hit by the F7C-m Super Hornet missiles would sometimes crash a player’s client.
  • Fixed an issue where repeatedly self-destructing and respawning would trigger a client crash.
User Interface
  • Fixed an issue in the Tutorial where the Gladius HUD was missing.

Social Module:
Fixes:
Character
  • Character models in ArcCorp are no longer appearing at very lower graphic detail levels when viewing other players.
  • Fixed an issue with facial features failing to animate for certain emotes.
  • Environment
  • Fixed a number of issues with missing decals in ArcCorp.
  • Fixed a number of missing collision issues in ArcCorp.
Technical
  • Fixed an issue where clients would crash on entering ArcCorp with SLI enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where the game client would crash if alt-tab was used while on the ArcCorp loading screen.
  • Fixed an issue where copy/pasting chat into the chat interface would crash the players client.
  • Fixed a client crash on loading into ArcCorp.
