Staples PriceMatching policy is the worst. I am trying to PM the 60gig hd compusa has and they told me they add the $25 off $100 coupon to the price, they dont price match instant rebate or mail in rebate.

so original cost is $139.99 + 25 off coupon = $164.99 then they will see if the price is still under and then i will get it for $140. I am like what about the coupon they are like oh well we take the coupon off $164.99 not $140 i am like wtf forget it i dont want crap from your company.

is this their new pricematching policy?

I know whats up with that... Staples used to pricematch instant rebates (as MIR are often store specific) but that is just messed up.

Maybe there should be a moan section specifically for staples. I am still waiting on my PNY 32MB Compactflash from the Staples WIN XP digital camera promo deal. I can't send in my $200 rebate until those bastards send me my $29.95 UPC code. Keep in mind, I ordered this package on Oct 27. It's not Nov 18 and they still can't tell me when I will get it. What a bunch of idiots.

It was a great ride while it lasted. Just looking around my office at al the PM'd and coupon goodies, monitor digital camera, phones, scanners, printer, speakers, labeler, software, chair, bookshelves... Sad to see the gig is up, guess I'll have to revert to armed robbery again.

Recently i've found that the PM policy depends on which store you go to.

I was refused a PM on an item at one store but managed to get it 3 blocks down.

PM policy also depends on the mood of the manager. I tend to have most success early morning.

But i agree with many on the board that the good old PM days are over. :-(

online, they charge you overnight shipping(which is like 50 bucks) when price matching, even though they know damn well they use ground shipping or 3-5 days staples delivery.

Evilmage: just try to be fair, staples courier does ship overnight, at lease for every order of mine.
