Staples - Free Shipping on ANY Phone Order

I was in a local Staples today and saw their catalogs that had a sticker on'em -- "FREE DELIVERY on any phone order!" Keep in mind that right under the sticker was another bit about Free delivery on orders over $50.

If it's any use, the Catalog Code is J39S0139Z, and the prices are supposed to be guaranteed till September 15 (This isn't the new catalog everyone's starting to get in the mail).

This has been the policy for a while. They get you when you try to PM to a business and then they want to tack on their overnight delivery charge to your order..

You either have to PM locally or find a really nice CSR.

it doesnt always work....i also got the catalog with "ANY phone order"....so since i needed a pack of pens and was too lazy to drive there, i figured i'd give it a try....for some reason or another they wouldnt do it.....still said i had to have $50 or more.....

At least in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area, Staples is having some type of problem with their shipping. I ordered a digital camera from staples.com on 8/24, and after calling them every day until the next Friday b/c it never showed up, I just went to one of their stores and picked it up myself. During the course of my calls, I was told by their CSR that they were having shipping problems. Indeed, they claimed that they had called their courier for several days in a row about my order and the courier was not calling them back! Nice courier, huh? Anyhow, I don't know whether this applies only to staples.com orders or whether it also applies to phone orders.
