Staples Easy Rebate

I bought the Peachtree Complete account program from staples, its price: $279.
Pricematched it to BB, who had it for $199.
110% PM + tax = $203 final.
Now, there's a $200 MIR from Staples. The thing is, I already filled out the form on Rebateshq.com, submitted my info, then I read something on the Rebate Redemption Form from Staples: NO ONLINE SUBMiSSION. FVCK!!
So Tuesday (tomorrow po is closed) I'm sending in the rebate with the Staples rebate stuff. Since this is a $200 rebate, I stepped it up to the paranoid mode. I am armed with a photocopy of everything, made sure to read everything twice, carefully placed the damn UPC in the envelope, etc.

Now to teh question: will i get shafted? If so, is Staples usually forgiving if you go straight to teh store asking why they didn't honor my rebate?

up to 60 days after purchase, rebate ends sometime in 4/06, I'm fine there

Then why would you be alarmed at all? Online, if your offer # doesn't match the available ones, they probably just delete it. No worries.

because rebates, esp. >$50 ones, are notorious for getting shot down for the smallest or false things.

See, it does work and is recgonized. That's what I filled out and submitted. Although, there is a next step, and that is mailing in a barcode along with your UPC and store reciept. Obviously I'm ignoring that error on my part, but will Staples?

Anything else? Should I photocopy the date it was postmarked? IF so, pardon my ignorance, but how should I do just that?
