The total for both purchases is: list $310, after MIR and coupons $135 Use Amex. Philips speakers can already be found for less. The 16x DVD is overpriced and it will go down and I am sure that Sony 24x will go much lower after Christmas as well.

Rebate on memory states "Purchase must be made between December 6, 2001 and December 15, 2001". Not valid now...

Also, OOS on the DVD and the CDROM units

Nice deals if they would work, but unfortunately, for the memory MIR: Valid Purchase Dates: 12/06/2001 to 12/15/2001 and at least for me the DVD player is NIS.

I didn't check any of the other details so don't know about them.

The Staples ad this week mentions a rebate, so there's probably a valid rebate form somewhere. Be sure to ask them to print out the rebate if it isn't handy at the CSC. good luck...
