I received a coupon through the mail, i was just curious, will they honor it at the local stores?

Sorry if this is OT, but no one would answer on the OT section.

NO! The sole reason for Digital coupons existance is to show the increased sales volume in cyber world. Thats why they are pretty much giving away lot of stuff below cost, (with the use of coupons, ofcourse!).
BUT,
If you are buying any thing over 50 and using these coupons it is as good as getting it yourself. It will be at your door steps next working day (Most of the time).:cool:;)

Just asked a Staples manager same thing yesterday, he said "Yes unless the code says for internet use only" Just looked @ my last Staples postcard & it says Valid through Staples.com only. I have had cashiers ring them up for me though.

A friend of mine warned me about my pricematching @ Staples lately & suggested they'll have a photo of me from their security cam up in the employee breakroom soon, with the title, "Watch out for this guy"

I've asked at Staples stores and they say "no", they won't accept the online coupons in the stores.

Just a side comment: Who cares if Staples has a photo of you? If they refuse to do what they
promised to do, Attorney Generals LOVE to get ahold of retail establishments that do this.

If they do have that knowing look when you walk in, just give 'em a great big smile and say "I hope this kills your margin for the store today." Store managers love that.

I have some place accept it and some don't I don't think Staples has a written ploicy so it depends on what mood the person is in. If you want to make a big deal out of it they will probaly go ahead and take it.

i spoke to a CSR and she said the acceptance of coupon codes is based solely on the manager at that store. i've called around and some staples accepted it and somes dont. just another inconsistency that makes staples so bogus.

Yep, Staples on-line and Staples B&M are independent of one another. Some will take the coupons, some won't. I tried returning something that I had ordered on-line and the B&M store would not take it unless they sell the items. The manager had to call the on-line store and work something out to get my goods returned.
