The HP 100-pack CD-R for $18 (no rebates) is a nice deal.

I know the old HP media used to be TY's. Anyone know who makes the new HP CD-Rs?

Wow, this week the 80GB Maxtor is on sale for 64.94. Wasn't it just a week ago when the 120 was $59.94? (when they had the 160GB substitution?)

The Staples marketing department can be quite confusing at times. ;)

Don't forget the "hottest" deal of the week: 6' Belkin USB cable for only $24.98. Please don't buy 'em all - save a few for me.

Taiyo Yudens are pretty much the best CDR's you can buy. From my experience just about any CD player, even really old ones which can't usually read CDR's can read Taiyo Yudens. Plus 99.99% no coasters.

Most of the HPs I've seen lately are made in Taiwan, so I'm thinking no.

In the newspaper ad the spindle has a raised lip at the top, which means they are probably CMC.
