So...can anyone verify or point to the supposedly $30 rebate coupon? All i can find is the $20 one. Also, when i bought mine yesterday the sign on the shelf said there was a $30 rebate (49-30=19) and the ad said that too....so it's not just a typo in the ad, but the sign is also wrong too (if indeed the rebate is just for $20)....vroom

I ordered the drive and 2 packs of IBM CDRs all for $30. The drive is $50, add two packs of IBM 10-pack CDRs $12.99 each, that will bring the total to a bit over 75. Then use $25 off $75 coupon to bring it down to $50. With the $20 rebate you get everything for about $30.

I'm another one that ordered this drive a couple of months ago: $50 drive - $20 off $50 coupon - $20 rebate = $10. Rebate came through no problem. As some of the others have noted, this drive is not very good for DAE, 6-8x depending on the read disk. The funny thing is that this drive reads at the same 6-8x regardless of what portion of the disk it is reading. For comparison, my Asus drive does DAE at 14-16X minimum and goes to over 30X on the outer edge of the disk. Also, this drive is a little harsh sounding at full speed, more so than the Asus which turns a similar rpm. Please keep in mind that NO CD drive that spins 8000+ rpm is quiet.
