I was having trouble getting info on the rebate for a a Prime Peripherals modem that I purchased that I purchased at Staples back in Feb. Eventually I got hold of the company handling the rebate and they said that Prime Peripherals was taking over the rebates for themselves and they were behind due to the xfer of info. With my luck, I figured that I could kiss the rebate good by then and there.
I went to the Staple where I bought the modem and talked to the store manager. He knew of the problem and since I had proof of purchase (I always copy my rebate info incl. UPC before mailing), he refunded the money for the rebate right there.
Anyway, that was two months ago. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem with their rebates but it might be worth talking the the staples store manager about it.
Since then I received the rebate in the mail. Let me say this is in no way endorsing trying to rip off Staples. After five months, I really didn't think that I was going to see the rebate. I just thought that if anyone was having trouble getting their rebate ( my DAD had the same trouble so I know I'm not alone), they might want to talk to a store rep and see what they can do.
This store and it's manager get an attaboy from me and Staple will definately get my business in the future.
