Just picked up my Compaq iPAQ 3765 for $365 which DID NOT include the $50 Rebate. Staples matched Target's price of $399.99, Plus the 10% difference (Staples $449.99 - $399.99), Plus I used the $30 off $150 Code [code deleted], Plus I received a FREE 64MB Compact Flash Card ($49.99 Value). You do the final MATH. Can you say $265 plus tax.

Please read the rules for this forum. Coupon codes are not permitted on our forums.

Can you say...No coupon codes? Better remove it before the mods catch it.

Yeah - definitely edit the code out before you get locked and warned. Secondly, PMing stories aren't really "hot deals," because it's a matter of finding a manager who isn't a jackass who decides to put the deal through.

I got my 3765 for 265, but it was by sheer luck and the dumbass clerk at Sears PMing it down to 349 vs. 399 THEN taking 10% off. But I didn't post it here because it was a) a fluke, and b) sheer frigging luck - so unless the PM can *EASILY* be done by others - don't post it.

You know, I really resent a bunch of pencil-necked, pimple-faced dorks (the moderators) telling me what I can and cannot post on this forum. Coupon codes are widely available at many websites, so it is rather ridiculous to prohibit them here.

All you clueless clowns that jump all over anyone who posts coupon codes or posts to what you think is the wrong forum also irritate hell out of me. Get a life!! We have enough forum police without you adding your childishly immature comments.

I guess it's not surprising since most of you are probably prepubescent. If you want to see what a forum of adults looks like, take a look at the AVS Forum.

Geesh, if you dont like it so much, then leave. There are goods and bads to everything, not just Anandtech Forums. If you don't like it, leave (I'm sure the mods will see to that). It is custom to usually read the forum rules before making a post, and if the person had they wouldn't have gotten flamed by everyone. And btw, the comment about the moderators telling you what you can and cannot post....thats what they're here for buddy. Same thing as going to someones house and them telling you wheter or not you can put your feet up on their coffee table . Lock this please.

Your maturity level in that post makes it look like you're about 8 years old.

First of all, I think you made a big mistake by dropping out of school in the third grade. You really should go back to school and learn how to spell. Second of all, I'm not surprised you don't like the AVS Forum -- it's way above your intellectual level. Third of all, when someone points out obviously childish behavior, only children retort "You are the one being childish."

Why should I leave??? Just answer me that, why should I leave??? Last time I checked, this is still the USA and freedom of speech still exists. What? Forum members are not allowed to criticize the moderators or how the forum is run?

This is a public forum, not someone's house. This attitude, "If you don't like it, leave" really burns me. As I said in another post, you are probably one of those people who thinks anyone who criticizes our brain-dead moronic president is a traitor and should be taken out and shot, or at least deported.

1) Criticizing the moderators does not belong in the Hot Deals forum; if anyplace, it belongs in the OT forum. And also, you were not just "criticizing" the moderators, there were blatant insults. You conducted yourself in a very childish and simple manner in the post, and if you were trying to get a point across, you should have been just a little bit more professional.

2) Remember the old saying about assuming ;). Nobody is making you stay and suffer through the Anandtech Forums. Accept things for how they are, or try to conduct yourself in a professional manner to get things changed. Calling the moderators "pencil-necked, pimple-faced dorks" is quite childish, and how you can sit on your high horse and call other people childish is beyond me.

Oh great!! Another forum policeman who thinks it's his job to tell people they are posting in the wrong forum. You mention "professional" twice. What does a forum post have to do with being professional? I'm not applying for a job here.

As far as my comments about the forum moderators, since when is telling the truth childish?

hehe, I'm sorry. I don't like to get involved with things like this but I just have to point out how funny that statement is comming from somebody who is championing an audio-visual forum. If theres any group of people that got beat up more in highschool than the computer club people.....

BTW, where'd this guy come from? Has <20 posts and all of the sudden decides to lose it in a coupon code thread??????
