Staph Infections are the sux0r

To make a long story short, my younger sister had surgery 4-5 weeks ago to repair a torn ACL. We went up to Denver for a vacation, and while we were there, she started to complain of chills and fever. We went to the hospital in Denver to discover she has an infection in the knee. So, we have to stay in Denver for an extra week, dad takes emergency vacation. Finally, we get her back home where she has an antibiotic administered of six weeks by IV. Well, we get home and the infection comes back and seems to be unharmed by the antibiotic. The very strange part is that they can't get the infection to grow on a dish. The doctors are all scratching their heads trying to figure out what the hell is wrong.

Indeed... There are more and more antibiotic resistant strains of staphylococcus. 🙁

Most likely from the widespread use of them.

Yeah, I'm not all that worried, it's more of a huge trouble. My older sister has very many medical problems, and now my younger sister with all this. Just seems like we never get a break with medicine.

*sigh

Hmm...interesting. Odd that they can't get staph aureus to grow on a dish. You sure it is a staph aureus infection?
