NYR is a complete surprise. Now 2-0 over TBL ? The kids over the old guys, yesterdays gang, but now too old ? Who knew ?

A final of Col v NYR however will bore me completely. No drama will remain, once the performance excitement of McDavid and TBL are done.

I had them coming out of the East after the first round.

One, Carolina couldn't do jack on the road.
Two, Tampa fatigue was evident in the Toronto series. Florida was leaky as well even if they had won instead of Tampa.
Tampa is not the same with no more Coleman, Gourde, Goodrow. That was an animal third line.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Rangers get whacked in the Cup Finals by the Avalanche though. Avs are simply on another level.

I've been saying this since round one ROTFL. (And I'm a NYR fan!)

Lets not get ahead of ourselves though ... series isn't "over" until Tampa loses a home-game. (although they really are looking old and slow)

You know what playing with house-money means right? ;)

There's a difference between a being Cup winner's doormat and merely eliminated in round 1. ;)

The Rangers have improved dramatically over the course of the past season and while "on paper" Colorado is a far deeper and more experienced team I wouldn't count NY completely out. (IF they even get there!)

Having said that, hockey fans who ACTUALLY DID predict the Rangers doing what they've done in the '22 playoffs are rarer then hen's teeth and with good reason.

Assuming the NYR's make the finals the pressure will be 100% on the Avalanche.
