Leafs 20 minutes away from yet another embarrassing elimination.

Nick Paul might be another voodoo doll for the Leafs.

Oilers-Kings is nasty from the gate. Hitting all over. Feels like a "real" playoff game.

Kings did better than i thought throughout the whole season. Hope they build on this, also clearing out some of the vets like brown will free up a bunch of cap over the next year or two. Lets see if the kids can take the mantle. Has real 2008-2010 vibes when brown and quick and kopitar were the kids.

Leafs are so shit. Just fold this pathetic excuse of a club.

Haven't won a playoff series since 2004. No cup since 67'.

The real irony is that their superstar goalscorer wouldn't be there without expansion into Arizona to grow the sport.

They shouldn't do anything to change the team much. This experience will make them better next year.

OMFG the RANGERS are one series-win from the FINALS ?!? :D

Not to imply I'm not THRILLED by this turn of events BUT I am shocked!

(I seriously doubt they'll be up to beating Tampa but then I was expecting them to get ousted in round 1 so wth do I know?)

I am of the opinion it is the Rags making it to the finals. Tampa's a fatigued clunker but Florida just screwed the pooch against them.

Also, F' Chris Kreider.

It's the Avalanche's Cup to lose.

I didn't watch a lot of NHL this year so I can't offer anything insightful far as the semi-final matchups however I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one surprised NY was able to dominate Carolina they way they did in games 6-7.

LETS GO BLUE-SHIRTS !!!

'Canes were weird all playoffs. Almost perfect at home...inept and "limp" on the road. They didn't have the hockey Viagra at the ready...

I have to admit I'm most interested in the Oilers making it this far. Not that I would've ruled it out, but this is the team that suffered a decade-long playoff drought and hasn't lasted long in playoffs since ending that drought. Guess that's what happens when you regroup and focus on long-term development.

A side note: what happens when the oil industry shrinks enough that even Albertans aren't big on naming their hockey team after it? Something tells me you won't see the Edmonton Solars.

If by some literal miracle, McJesus wins the Cup for Edmonton this year, they might as well be called "The Foilers" for screwing up "how to win" in the hockey universe.
