See, i bought this generic case..
I didn't know I needed something called standoffs.. which should be included in the case,, which wasn't.
There are 2 brass small standoffs on the case.. but that's about it.
Otherwise there are a number of big square shaped holes on the panel where the motherboard sits.
Somebody told me that I need clip-on or something like that kind of standoffs to mount a motherboard on the case..
Now.. nobody sells them seperately. And I'm not even sure that the standoffs from other cases will even fit it.. (do they all come in same size and shape?)
What are those 2 brass standofss for?
This is my first build and I can't even start it becaues of stupid screw.. :(

Go to your local PC store and ask them for some. I have roughly 1000 (various sizes) of them lying around in the shop.

If you have a bunch of square holes there were probably supposed to have been standoffs that snap into place, unfortunately they'll be hard(er) to find. If they were standard brass standoffs they'd be easy to come by, in fact many motherboards come with some.

Can you take the case back to wherever you got it from? Or at least call them & ask for standoffs?

If that's the only thing holding you back, by all means set your system up on a cardboard box or something. When I bought my Tiger MP it wouldn't fit in the case I had. So I ran it for a week sitting on an anti-static bag (they're non-conductive, so they work great for this). Start it with a screwdriver, it works fine.
