Having a lot of back and neck problems lately and thinking about converting to a standing desk. I often, though not always, sit at a desk all day for work.

Most standing desks I see are small and/or do not look very useful. I like a lot of surface area on my desk.

I currently have an Ikea Galant with T legs and would like to convert that if possible. I've found some examples of people with A legs converting to standing desks but not any/many with T legs.

Anyone have a good standing desk that they love with good surface area?

Any thoughts on standing desks in general appreciated as well.

Thanks!

I enjoy a standing desk. I have one that is a collaboration of home made materials. I have been using it at home for over 1.5 years. I enjoy standing, but am relatively fit. At work I sit, but that is my only option. I would like to stand here from time to time, but it is nice being able to rest your legs especially if you already are having back/neck issues. It may help, but could definitely hurt as well. It would help if you could ease your way into it. Maybe implement at home then move it to work if it is helping you.

Thanks for the input. I do plan on easing into it before making major changes. I did plan on going with a stool for times I do want to rest my legs/feet.
