Standby Problem with G-Force 2 GTS Pro

Ran into a little problem. Just got done installing my G-Force Pro. Flawless installation! But now when my system goes in standby, and my monitor shuts down, it returns with a "garbage" screen. I am using NVidia 6.31 Drivers as of this moment. I also tried 6.34, 6.47, and the 6.49, again, with no luck. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

I too am having these lockups, screen goes to absolute crap. Have you also ran a DVD on it? I have, and approximately 10-15 minutes into the movie the suka locks again. I've reset the BIOS and nada. My thinking was that it quite possibly had to do with either the standby or hybernate mode, so I disabled them both, after that I had to go to work. I'll do some more research tomorrow. Please POST back if you find out anything in the meantime. Will probably need to register my card now, for the support 🙂 need some help folks!

How about posting the fix for everyone else who experiences this problem?

I have a similar problem where I'm using a TwinView MX board and occasionally when I boot I start up in hypernation mode and can't get out. After a hard reboot I have to reinstall the drivers again. Seems to happen mostly if I shut-down with Clone mode activated.

This seems to only happen with Hercules boards (Geforce 2 Pro, Geforce 2 MX). I have not seen it on any other NVIDIA based board. Although I haven't figured out how to fix it. Can someone provide the fix?

It would be great if you could post the fix for everyone to see, as other people seem to have the same problem.

What GTS Pro Card do ya all have? I am curently looking at upgrading and the Pro got a really good review. Did you buy it on line, if so where?

Thanks

Oops,

Sorry guys, should have done this, but after working all night I was toooo tired. My apologies, anyhow, heres the fix:

This is under the POWER MANAGEMENT PROPERTIES:

System Standby: Never

Turn off monitor: Never

Turn off hardisks: Never

Probably your settings are different from the ones I posted, but thats what they (Hercules) has stated to do. They also stated that a permanent fix will be implemented in their next driver update.

PS: If you do not know where Power Management is. Right click on your desktop, click properties, click screensaver, click settings bottom right under energy savings of monitor, that takes you to the Power Management screen.

Koukla: Bought mine from BUMMER

I have the same problem with a leadtek geforce 2 gts 64 meg....really weird.....ur solution is only going to prevent the standby...not solve what happens after a standby....and when is this new driver? Is it the Nvidia driver? because its messed up on a leadtek too..not just hercules.
