Standby/Hibernate/APM

Hey all, every time I try to use Standby or Hibernate, Windows 2000 hangs. Also, it never powers down my hard drive or monitor when I specify it to in the Power Schemes panel. Anyone having similar problems or a solution? Thanks.

Do you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard?

Also, is your Win2K installed with the ACPI or Standard PC HAL? TO tell which one you have, go to Device Manager and look under Computer.

If you have Standard Computer, make sure you enable APM in Power Options.

Also, make sure you have Power Management enabled in your BIOS.
