Standart TCP/IP port or LPR port for Laser Printer ??

If you have to install a new Phaser6200DP laser printer on win2k print server; which one will you use ??
I create 2 printer; one with standard TCP/IP port and another with LPR port.
The standart TCP/IP port gives more interaction to the printer such as seeing the status on the MPT tray (with paper/empty). The LPR port does not do this.
Well in term of stability or problem less operation, which one would u use ?
Btw we dont have any Unix box that need to print from this printer.
We have many other inkjet printer that networked via netgear print server, and all of them is added to the same win2k print server via LPR port. This is why I though it probably be better if all printer stay on LPR.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks
