I'm running Win2000 with the following hardware (that would be relevant to this problem:

MSI i8153 Pro
Guillemot Xentor 32 TNT2U
Hitachi CM751
256MB Micron RAM

Screen saver is fine, but when it surpasses the 1 hour standby setting that I have, it goes into standby mode and if I move the mouse/keyboard - the system won't come back on. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas - running the most current Detonator drivers from nVidia.

Thanks!

P.S. - Also wondering...in WinME/98SE you could type 'msconfig' at the run command line and get all the startup options - is there anything like that for Win2000? And how do you get rid of that initial startup wallpaper that disappears once you actually get to the desktop? These things all changed when I moved to Win2K :)

Update your video driver or try changing the resolution of your monitor as a test.

I notice when I set my resolution to 1900x1400 the system would hang so I lowered the resolution to 1600x1200.

Cheers

I use startupcpl. quite good.
