Stand and Sit Workstation, Desk

I am looking for advice on the perfect work area for someone who is handicapped.
- Free floor standing. No bolt-on's. Weight on the base for stability okay.
- Easily adjustable for standing, sitting in an office chair or stool (leaning or propped up).
- For keyboard, mouse and monitor. PC/box/laptop could be placed elsewhere.
- Prefer, perhaps, around 30" wide x 24" deep. I actually don't have a lot of space to work with but I'm flexible; I have a sledge hammer to make this work.
- Quality of living more important than the price. Function over aesthetics.
- Motorized with a remote would be even better as then the person will then have autonomy.
- Therapy cat friendly a bonus. (We found out you just can't stop a cat from laying on top of the keyboard, 🙂
Google has not been helpful to me. I'm actually not very good at searching and rightly dividing online opinions. Stores have the cheapest or the most ridiculous or inappropriate items only. A relatively weak and gentle person will be using it. There won't be any gaming or rough-housing involved. Nearly 100% Internet or Netflix viewing. A mounted/bolted down on a contraption I made, laptop is not cutting it; even creating a risk of injury.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Any experience or advice, please post.
Move to a different section if appropriate.
Thank you.

Burpo gave you some good ideas. I like ergonomic stuff. I often look at the Varidesk, I see them selling often on Craigslist, but I'm in Silicon Valley, Craigslist SF Bay Area. I may try a Varidesk eventually.

I saw this on a lifehack page a while back: just place a box next to your keyboard and the cat will sit in the box.

Outstanding products but I think I've underestimated the female factor.
"Your so sweet but these are way too ugly. I bet you men designed these. It's okay, you don't have to get me anything ..." lol

Make it pink & put eye lashes on it..🙄
