Stamps.com

You can't sucka, it's a scam site. Should've gone w/ USPS. Call stamps.com up and scream at them.

I signed into my account online, got a chat with a CS rep and cancelled without every picking up the phone. I know two other people that did the same thing within the last month.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I figured it wouldn't hurt anything.

Stamps.com is someone you definitely need to call and verify your cancellation with. I cancelled their shatty service well within the 2 week trial period, and was in turn billed month after month to my Paypal account (which is now closed because of this.) On hold with them now (going on about 15 minutes) to b1tch them out and demand refund and/or threaten chargebacks even if I can't charge it back with a closed account.

After another 10 minutes on hold, they of course refuse to refund any charges made even though they can clearly see that not once did I ever log into the application/service. To boot, they conveniently don't have any records on my account showing that I had cancelled within the trial period. Should be interesting to see how Paypal handles this.

The CSR didn't even flinch, and in fact suggested that I dispute the charges. Reminds me of when I worked for CCBill.com and tactics like these were standard/common practice.

Edit: Quite a nice showing for them on resellerratings.com. Granted, not very many reviews.

Before you cancel, use a 1-time use credit card number and set an amount that you're supposed to be charged. Stamps.com has the tendency to continue charging those that canceled.

Alas, I didn't and still don't have any 1-time use credit cards. I think it's Bank One that offers that, and I'm with Bank of America.
