STALKER + Vista + Shadowing = Ugly!

For some reason the some of the shadowing in vista looks bad. It looks like those jaggies you get when your video card is being worked too hard. Anyone know of a fix? I have an 8800 so its not my video card.

Sir I believe you are seriously misinformed about "jaggies".
Jaggies are caused by aliasing (on polygon edges and shadows alike), not by your video card being worked.
STALKERS shadows just aren't filtered very well; it's an odd way to do soft shadows, and works for everything except trees and moving characters.

Is there a snap shot button for STALKER or do I have to download fraps. I should post a screen of what it looks like.

I think F12 does it... check the controls. I'm almost positive there's a screenshot function.

Well the newest forceware fixed a lot of the problem I was having. But there is still a little bit of this left.

I have the stupid CTD when pressin esc and f6. There is a fix but its a rather ridiculous fix. I will just have to wait for 1.0004.
