If Impulse is like Steam there may be problems getting some of the community mods to work. Steam prepatches the game to 1.0005, and some mods require 1.0004.
 
I've had issues with Impulse. I got the bioshock deal there and the order went through, but it took 3 days for them to send me an email stating that I had it. I kept checking the page and it said I didn't have any games. Then when I finally got it to show up, it wants to d/l it to my C drive(which doesn't have space) so I get an error. I even changed the path, but it still tries to d/l it to C. Until I can get this fixed I'm not purchasing anything else from them.
 
There is an option to tell it to download to another drive; it is a bit obscured. I think they tell you how to do this in their faq as it is a common problem.

I've gotten a couple of games from them without issues (though I tend to use steam).

I haven't tried impluse but steam seems to be fine for me. also D2D is pretty good for me as well. I don't know why impluse will lock you to one drive that seems pretty stupid.
 
I, myself have never had a problem with Impulse... I am glad to see they are actually starting to do daily deals like steam does.

You changed the path by clicking the gear icon at the top right, then going to the tab "Downloads", then changing the Default Download Folder?

Yea I did all that and it still errors when attempting to d/l it. Not sure what the deal is.
