i have this running on my comp at 1680, max settings and it seems to run just fine on my computer. I'm using windows xp.

How are you guys getting an fps meter? I'll record my settings and fps in more detail if i figure out how to display fps.

i figured it out. its pretty retarded btw. I can run the game in all its glory with all sliders maxed, vsync all that jazz under xp, but after it starts to get choppy, like sometimes even to 8 fps with fraps...i just have to go back to the options menu, then hit "use" and when i go back into the game, my fps jumps up to around 40ish! GREAT PROGRAMING!

vista

i cant run it at 1080p (my native res) at all...even with everything turned off...and sometimes textures dont load...it only seems to be working on 768 with lowered settings....

Well the game has known issues with Vista in particular.

Is anyone really surprised? All of the games coming out these days are bloated like this. 640x480 FTW. 😛

Sounds like a good old memory leak, hitting use probably flushes out the card memory and reloads. Oblivion (at least 1.0) had this problem for me, the framerate would crawl down after a couple hours of play...if I saved and restarted things went back to normal.

Hit the nail on the head. There's a few games that suffer from this. Sometimes you can force the engine to unload resources by changing graphic options in-game without applying/saving those changes ... similar to what knife said.
