Easier to install, come in smaller download sizes and from my experience, usually have a slightly better framerate. Enough that it's worth it to go to the tweakrus website to download them.
I just downloaded the X-G 94.20 drivers, which i believe are behind the Nvidia official ones, but the forum over there was saying crazy things like 20+ FPS increases all around; and while I didn't get that nice of an improvement, i got close. I'm thinking at least a 10+ FPS increase all around; even on the most demanding games.
They work differently on different systems, but it made STALKER playable for me; so give them a try.

(Typical driver installing instructions follow, uninstall old ones, reboot, install new ones, reboot.. etc.) A warning to people trying these new X-G drivers: They apparently don't work with 8XXX cards yet.
