Well I was really looking forward to this on friday, looks like it will be a bit longer wait .

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky will be delayed "a few days" from its expected release on September 5. We've received indications about this and attempted to get a confirmation from GSC Game World, and while we received no reply, Shacknews confirmed the delay with publisher Deep Silver. What we can add is a report we got from a retailer who says the boxes were recalled from the distributer when it was discovered they did not contain CD keys.

The North American release of GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (PC) has been delayed "a few days" past the promised September 5 date, a representative from publisher Deep Silver confirmed with Shacknews today.

The slip stems from a manufacturing issue specific to the North American edition, with Deep Silver forced to recall all copies that have already shipped to stores. The delay is due to a printing error that saw the games distributed without CD keys, according to Bluesnews.

This delay will "probably" push back the shooter prequel's impending release on Valve's digital distribution platform Steam, though direct confirmation has yet to arrive.

The game's European release on September 5 is not affected.

A new release date for North America is not yet available, though several online retailers have the title tentatively slated for September 15.

Link to source? Lol they forgot to put CD-Keys on the boxes *slaps forehead* but I will forgive GSC because Stalker was awesome and this looks like it will be even better 🙂. My Pre-Order still says September 4 😀.

Yeah, lucky for me it only affects North American orders, still the 4th here in Aus 🙂.

Stalker Clear Sky is available on the 6th September on my Steam (UK)

EDIT: GameFAQs lists the release date for Stalker CS as 9th September as well as a Limited Edition on sale.

that sucks but it will at least give me time to focus on the Warhammer beta though. Although if Warhammer sucks, I'll be wanting something else.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the STEAM version.

I pre-ordered my UK version of Clear Sky via Play.com,looking forward to playing the game in a week or so.

I probably wont pick up Clear Sky.

I reinstalled Stalker today and it looks garbage at 1024x768, refuses to play at 1920x1080 and makes me ill at 1280x720.... still 🙁

It is such a shame... after an hour or so, once you pick up something other than a pistol or shotgun.... it is just a great great game.

If I did not have this sickness problem, Stalker would have been one of my fave games of 2007 and Clear Sky would be high up in 2008.

I absolutely can't wait for this. Just loaded up Stalker and then the Oblivion Lost mod with Float 32 over it - what a blast.

Play.com now have Clear Sky in stock,should not be long before mine arrives through the post 🙂.
