Stage 4 cancer patient has hospital room tossed by police for THC pills

Not sure what articles you are reading but the cops were called out for someone smoking weed in his room. They were searching for weed which they did not find and did not care about the THC oil capsules as far as I can tell from the articles.

In my OP it states the patient had told his doctors and nurses he was using THC pills. Clearly if someone called that he was using marijuana/smoking marijuana they chose to communicate it that way. Lost in translation so to speak.

I don't think it was lost in translation. From what I've seen in the news and in articles the weed smell was reported to the hospital by patients in nearby rooms. The hospital sent a security guard who wanted to search the guys bags for weed and he refused. The security guard then called the police and that's why they came looking for weed. I guess the cops felt obligated to search the room for weed since it had officially been reported and it was a hospital.
