Stacking Fans?

Is there any advantage to putting two identical fans together (blowing the same way) for use on a heatsink?

not really. you may hardly much cooling improvement by stacking them. Instead, try getting the fan with much higher CFM, preferably the 60mm x 60mm x 38 mm and keep the ambient temperature as cool as possible.

You might consider one thing... The noted in that article about the 45 degree and undisturbed air... If you make a tube to spread the distance between the 2 fans (atleast the same distance as the fans are in diam.) then it works much like a wind tunnel... If you go this far simply mount your intake fan to the inside of the case and use a flex tube to duct the cool outside air directly to the fan on the HS... 😉 (of course use a filter on the outside fan)
