We recently moved into a townhouse which can
only fit a stackable washer/dryer.
Obviously I had to research the mofo out of it and find the best deal.
Sears had a good deal and great selection (5 to choose from) but the sales person was VERY flaky.
CostCo B&M didn't have any stackable W/D on display in the warehouse, so we picked up some toilet paper.
A local appliance chain store had the
Frigidaire FEZ831AS on sale for $688 plus we added a 5 year extended warranty for $149. Of course the fun didn't stop there. We purchased it using our
Amazon.com VISA which gave us a
1 year free warranty and earned us 837 Amazon.com points. I was able to convince the salesperson to throw in the "dryer vent" stuff for free (usually $15). They delivered it for free and installed it. DO NOT try this yourself unless you have two guys, a pickup truck and a sturdy handtruck. These are big, bulky and heavy ass appliances.
The bad news: the dryer for some reason isn't working right. If we do a small load of white clothes then dry them. We have to dry them with 3 different cycles, and even then the socks still are a little damp. I'm hoping it's something easy to fix. I'll have to call the repair guys and have them take a look.
If you have a BB near you, I'd check
this out.
