Stable overclocking on a Barton 2800+?

Hey.

I am new to this overclocking game and I need a bit of know how on what do to when trying to successfully overclock a Barton 2800+
I have gone to endless sites with so called "guides" and all the info seems out of date since they are all on how to overclock Palominos and Throughbreds. Anyhoo, I thought i should get it from the people who have done it themselves. I have a very good system and I want to get the most out of it. I got plenty of fans in my case. All things are running at stock speeds. My temps are 33-34C Idle and about 39-40 on a full load while gaming. So please post your success stories and how you did it here. I appreciate any help at all here. Please no newb flaming. Be constructive if you can.

Peace.

I've never used a 2800+, but with my 2500+ all I had to do was bump up the FSB to 200mhz, leave the multiplier at 11, then up the core voltage to 1.7v and BAM...I had a 3200+. 🙂

If you have PC3200 ram, just do as I said above and things should be fine. Unless, of course, your chip is multiplier locked. You should be able to hit 2200mhz without much of a problem.
