Yeah, my K7S5A has burnt up two AMD retail 1.4s. I'm not the only one who has had this problem, and I'm getting sick of having to RMA my procs once a week. Before you ask, I've worked very hard with AMD to isolate the problem, the only remaining part that could be causing it is the mobo. ECS has yet to call me back, and they've got 1h50m till their 24hour guarantee runs out. The new KT266A is VIA... I wont believe that there's a bug-free stable VIA part till a large number of people run theirs for about a year without any issues. VIA stuff seems to have more hidden bugs than Windows, and Windows ME freezes once every 10 mins. So what I really want is a good ol' crappy performance AMD chipset board, the 760 or 761(?). If you can recommend a board with RAID and/or onboard LAN it'd be nice, but I'll happily sacrifice those things onboard for a product that doesn't kill its processors. Thanks!

I wouldn't say that the AMD761 chipset boards are bad at all. I have been running one for several months with no problems at all. Rock solid and stable. I would suggest the ABIT KG7-RAID first with the Epox EP-8K7A as another suggestion. Both are great boards with great features. Good Luck!
