Stable in windows but cant Reboot!??! need input!!

Hey everybody... i've got a strange problem with my system. I have a Duron700 system and i have the MSI K7T Pro2, Kingmax pc150 ram, unknown PSU, Radeon 32DDR, and such... well i'm running my 700 at 850 right now and the ram i set at host clock + 33 which is 133 and it's at turbo/cas2 setting right now. well everything is solid, no crashes or anything so i decided to play with the bus speed cuz i heard i can go up to 110 or so... well i went up slowly. i started at 101, 102 etx, up to 106 where it just crashed. well i was like ok i'll just use one down which was 105.. but then after like 2 mins in windows it crashed so i was like ok.. 104... that was fine til it crashed like 3 mins in windows.. so i tried 103.... that was the stable number for me.... so i ran at 103 for a couple of days without shutting down my PC.... well there came one day when i had to reboot and the next thing i knew my computer wouldnt boot up... my screen just stayed black and the mobo said something like "please checkthe system" ... this is the same thing that happens if i tried a multiplier which was too high for the core voltage but i dont understand. the computer was running fine with no problems at 103 for like 4 days before i had to reboot.... i tried both 101 and 102 and the same thing happened.... it's very stable but when i go to reboot it tells me there's something wrong and wont boot up... so now i'm back at 100 and everything is fine.... does anyone have a clue as to my problem?? Thanks in advance!

I had a problem kinda like that. When I overclocked to x, I would run stable. But, if x was at the edge of the envelope, even though my system would run stable, it would lock up when I tried to shut down it would freeze. To test it I went back and oc'ed it a little mre, then it wouldnt load windows. The only solution I found was to up voltage. The I would run stable and still shut down ok. Note that it wasnt always a voltage issue which caused lock ups at shutdown, sometimes if I run CAS2 @ over 155 or 160 on the RAM, I get some weird shutdown errors too.... But, power was the first place I checked.....Also, is there any way to get an Abit mobo to supply the cpu with more then 1.85 volts? A patch or hack or something? Damnit Jim, I need more power!

Aite, thanks Tom3, kai and shockwave... is there anyway to ID a PSU by serial number or something? "I need an ID scroll please"
