stabilizing core voltage

i have a 1.6a overclocked to 2.4 on an asus P4B266-C and my V Core in the bios is set to 1.750. At idle it is around 1.73 according to MBM. When at full load, though, it drops to around 1.66. I have the main ATX power connecter and the P4 connecter as well as the EZ Plug connecter connected. Is there any way i can keep the voltage from dropping so much? I am using a 430 watt psu.

Thanks Tugs, you are a great resource in this forum. Does that 3:4 ratio help much? I seem to be maxed at a 150 FSB right now. If i try to go over that, Prime 95 will error within 5 minutes. Temperature is not the problem, it maxes at about 46c.
