I've recently built a computer, which I overclocked and tested to be stable. It was fine for several months but then unexpectedly crashed and I had to reset the BIOS. Now I want to make sure it's stable.
Motherboard: Asus P5K-Del
CPU:Intel E6420
RAM:Geil DDR2
I have everything in the BIOS under the jumperfree configuration left on AUTO, which is the default. So all voltages are auto, as well as the memory timing and frequency. I started Memtest and it immediately started getting errors. I tried several other settings for memory, but it still got errors.
Any suggestions? I am not even overclocking the memory. It is rated up to 2.4V, maybe I should just put the maximum voltage to it? I am not really concerned about overclocking anymore, I just want to make it 100% stable at stock speeds first...
Thanks
