Seriously though, don't people realize that electric trains are electric and that the electric wire has to have enough electricity in it to move the entire train? It ain't a tiny little 12 volt system there. Incidents like these seem to happen fairly often.
I think it's more that they don't have any conception of how far 27kv will arc. She didn't touch any wires, she didn't have to.
