Seriously though, don't people realize that electric trains are electric and that the electric wire has to have enough electricity in it to move the entire train? It ain't a tiny little 12 volt system there. Incidents like these seem to happen fairly often.

I think it's more that they don't have any conception of how far 27kv will arc. She didn't touch any wires, she didn't have to.
 
She had a lot of potential, I guess resistance is futile.

That's how the current generation is, no impedance to doing dumb things. How do you rectify this capacitance for self-destructive stupidity? We need to impart a solid grounding in responsible conductance.
