Obviously there is no big deal to the types who do the search themselves, just so they can yell "REPOST! HA HA!" in someone else's thread. For those of us who read threads from the top, without imagining that there may already be a post about St. Anger, this is new. Unlike some people, I don't live here in OT, so I may not have seen the thread on page 62 about this.

All I'm saying is you would have had the original poster searched and bumped.

I always search before I post a new topic so I don't get the dreaded repost called on myself 😉
 
And the whole downside to reposting is:

a)a curse of halitosis?
b)labled "malecontent, outcast" by ATOT community?
c)stooopid?
d)giving some ninny a reason for living by typing "REPOST"?
 
Well, when caught by the mods it's an automatic lock. And, typically, once it's been determined to be a repost...it's netiquette to request it be locked and then go bump the original thread. How hard is that? Are people just that darn lazy?

No, because then we have to deal with the bump nazis, coming into the thread and yelling "Why the hell is this here? LET THIS THREAD DIE!"

Both those groups are bad.
 
Repost don't matter that much to me I just skipped them and use the wonderful scroll mouse til I find thread I'm interested in.


Maybe all this 'repost' compulsion is really just sexual frustration. 😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛😛
