I'm fairly new to SSRS, and while I have a good grasp of Visual Studio I'm being asking to create some reports at work that require some pretty advanced parameters. Well, maybe they're not advanced, but I haven't been able to figure it out or find any online resources that describe what they're looking for.
In a nutshell, if someone could direct me to a good resource for SSRS report creation in general it would be really helpful. Here is an overall description of what I'm being asked for.
They want a report that will look at the user role that is being passed from the website to the report, and based on what role they are, require the user to enter in one parameter or the other. Basically depending on what role they are they will either be entering in one kind of account number of the other. Once that account number parameter is selected the report will generate. I don't see how to apply a conditional requirement like this on a parameter. If they are one role we don't want them to even see the parameter option for the other role. How could this be accomplished? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
