I am prepared and getting ready to run my own benchmarks on a controlled LAN, but i was interested to see what type of processing power I would need to establish 50 SSL tunnels. The connection would be nothing stellar in the less than 10Mbit/s up/down range.

I am more interested in the processing requirements and any case-studies or benhcmarks that might be out there.

2Ghz or better should be more than enough, but around 100 or more you may need some type of SSL accelerator.
