For some certain programs I use that transfer files with private information, they use an SSL connection. I just realized that I was sending very private personal information out without SSL enabled. I realize now that I am sending some private confidential information that is vulnerable to snoopers.
The document for some of these programs I use says if you are behind a firewall, that you need to port forward certain ports for an SSL connection. I have been told that 443 is the default port for SSL connection. What would I do to open a port for SSL on the other two computers if you can't port forward the same port numbers in the router to different computers on your LAN? What other port numbers would be best to open for SSL? Or can I have all PCs use 443?
