ssi enabled extensions and custom 404 do not work

If I try to access http://mydomain.com/index.htmll

The custom 404 page works fine, but ever since ssi was enable on the htm extenstion if you make a bad request and follow it with the htm extension you will get a 404 OBJECT NOT FOUND. Actally the custom 404 doesn't work for any access of ssi enabled extensions.

In the IIS MMC, select Home Directory -> Configuration

Then edit the properties of the extension then check that the file exists box... now it works :)

Just thought I would post the solution if someone else ever has the same problem.
