I was looking around and this game is not coming to the pc...or at least that ive found

with the console version's coming out soon, was anyone else holding out for this version instead of buying SF4

i have previously purchased the other 2 on console, since ive re-shifted back to pc gaming. I was looking into this game, with the higher res graphics and all.

just wondering if anyone heard otherwise?

Most likely not. SF4 apparently didn't sell all that well on the PC, so another is unlikely.

In my experience, most "Fighting game players" are socially recluse LOSERS like myself.

I don't see why they bother bringing any fighting games to PC, because the el'cheapo gamers would NEVER buy it.

ONLY part of the blame is that it's just too easy to pirate pc games.

The other part is the quality of people playing these games are inherently low.

:( "goes to corner with ps2" guess what i'm playing :(

SF4 came out way after the console versions anyway.
I'd imagine SSF4 will get the same treatment, especially if it's using pc hardware in the arcade anyway. (and if not, someone will rip it)

I wouldn't be surprised to see a digital distribution only, though.

Capcom is like Sega in the regards to their PC department. Often times it seems they put a bunch of game titles in a hat and draw for which will get ported to the PC. A shame if this is true because I bought the game and even bought the SFIV Xbox controller.

Yea, and usually they half ass the PC port. SF4 was the exception, it was done pretty well, but pretty much every other game that Capcom and Sega ports over is a half-assed console port.

SSF4 on PC could happen... eventually, but it's probably a lot of work to port it over. SF4 appears to have sold between 60-70k copies (maybe more, i can't find official figures and I'm basing it off of leaderboards), and it's up to capcom if that's an acceptable number to bother porting it again.

I don't get all this junk people are saying about how others will not spend money to buy fighting games on PC. That is a complete and utter nonsense. I bought SFIV on the day of it's release, and I bought the TE Stick a month or so later. I know several other people who did the same.

SSFIV will most definitely NEVER come out on PC. I know someone here said that SFIV came out a year later after console release and so will this, but in the case of SFIV Capcom specifically said that a PC release was being planned right from the start, even before the console version was released. In the case of SSFIV they never ever mentioned anything about any plans for a PC release. Not a single word. I don't care how many units the game sold on the PC. This is lame and disrespectful to those that bought it. If they already released SFIV, they should release SSFIV as well. Seriously, this half-way move is like a slap in the face.

What if I don't want to buy a console? What if I don't want to pay for LIVE or wrestle with the Sony's online service? The PC version of the game literally looks much better than any console version, and online play is FREE. You cant beat that!

Im fine with the SF4 for PC they did, I can understand why they would target consoles, because they make more money that way.. Bottom line after sf4 that came out last year, they were already at work on the new one but only for console,, not a surprise,, dead or alive never came to pc,,,,their probably happy with the sales they got from sf4 ,,, thx

I'm not sure how much money it would take to bring SSF4 to PC, but I would imagine it wouldn't cost a whole lot considering they already did it with SF4, the changes to the new game wouldn't be that hard to add to the base they already have there.

I've been very impressed by the CAPCOM pc ports, their games tend to run smooth and look gorgeous, and these are games that are supposed to be console games.

Yes, the PC versions come out later, to help protect console sales from piracy and because the PC market obviously isn't as lucrative. But if they already have the means in place from the last game, and you guys are saying the arcade version is pc based as well, I don't see any reason they wouldn't release the PC version eventually. Support can't be that taxing after they dealt with the first one, can it?

Money is money, It still isn't smart to throw say 100 grand down the toilet making a port.
