I am trying to find out which SSDs have synchronous NAND in them and I pretty much know which is which but I have not been able to find out what type is in the C300 and M4 drives from Crucial. Anyone happen to know?

Yeah i know Google is my friend, and i read the reviews of the drives here - but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

The Crucial m4 uses synchronous nand.

Sandforce
Agility 3, Pyro, Force 3, Chronos Deluxe etc., use 2xnm asynchronous nand
Vertex 3, Pyro SE, Force GT, HyperX, etc., use 2xnm synchronous nand
Vertex 3 max iops, Wildfire, Enhanced Chronos Deluxe, etc., use 34nm toggle nand

Marvell
Crucial m4 - 2xnm synchronous nand
Plextor m3 - 2xnm toggle nand
Corsair Performance Pro - 34nm toggle nand

Samsung
Sansung 830 - 2xnm toggle nand

Crucial RealSSD C300 = 34nm Synchronous MLC NAND (5000 to 7000 PE/cycles)
Intel 520 = 25nm Synchronous MLC NAND (5000 PE/cycles)
OCZ Octane = 25nm Synchronous MLC NAND (5000 PE/cycles)

There is no "enhanced" Chronos, it's simply the company name "Mushkin Enhanced" and either "Chronos" with asynch nand or "Chronos Deluxe" with 32nm toggle nand. It's 32nm Toshiba toggle nand in all those top tier units.

Right right, this isn't the first time I've posted that wrong :)
