Just wondered if it would damage the SSD by runnng games or photo shop on them.

I see the larger SSD's and cant see why anone would want one unless they would work good for progams and games.

I'm rather confused by what it is you're trying to ask. Many people commonly use their SSD's for things other than boot drives, I for instance put my more commonly accessed programs and games on my 128 GB. Not to mention it will last longer than a 64 GB drive would with how often I download and delete files.

And they are excellent for games and other programs, what might take up to a minute to load on a standard mechanical hard drive can be done in seconds by an SSD.

I didn't no if the constant change in files on a game would be harmfull to a SSD.
Same as with using like MS office were you delete and edit files a lot.

They do contribute to the cell degradation however it's an unavoidable fact for usage of a primary system drive. Not to mention many people load up single player games, which if not forced to patch through some online server will just sit there in whatever state they were installed in. If you're worried about wearing out your SSD just don't install your games to it, or get a really large one so that the overall SSD will survive for a longer time.

I have an 80GB Intel X-25M-G2 from 2009 that I've used as an a primary HDD (OS+apps+games) and HD Tune says it's still running at perfect health, and that's after 3 years of daily use.

I had the same concerns before I bought my first SSD because I play World of Warcraft and Diablo III both of which are constantly updating. My understanding is there is almost no chance the drive will write itself out and mech hard drives would fail long before the SSD will. Just make sure you have TRIM enabled and you should be good to go for years to come.
