Discussion SSDs and power surges

I just commented on another thread about witnessing on multiple occasions hard drives surviving after a computer got destroyed by a lightning strike, but it's been some time since I've seen it happen and I also realise I've never seen it happen with a computer having a SSD rather than HDD.

Any experiences on this one?

I've seen two older (OCZ-era) SSDs destroyed by power glitches / outages, not even lightning strikes.
