I do agree that that drive is probably your best bet, but its out of stock until the end of February.

Why on earth would you pay that much when you can get a G2 Intel 80GB for the same price or cheaper on eBay?

On sale for slightly under 200$ Canadian, doesn't seem too bad. Haven't personally seen any G2's under the 200 mark.

40GB is barely big enough. 30GB is out of the question. After formatting you've only got 20-some GB.

After a bunch of searching...I purchased my Intel G2 X25M 80GB last week. I am pretty happy with it. Sure, there are cheaper ones...but I want known good performance with minimal hassle. It works great with Win 7 and has TRIM. I got mine from Macmall for $243 (retail) plus tax and shipping.
