SSD Wars: Patriot Inferno -vs- G.SKILL Phoenix

I don't think I'm willing to wait for the Micron C400 (scheduled to release in February) so that leaves me with two strong SSD contenders. Both are SandForce drives and they both cost about $130. The winner will be my boot drive on a 2600K+P8P67 machine and it will be paired with a Spinpoint F3.

Which do you think I should go with?

Patriot Inferno 60GB

G.SKILL Phoenix 60GB

And here's the best review I could find. It compares the 60GB Phoenix against the 100GB Inferno. It's not exactly apples-to-apples but conclusions can still be drawn regarding overall performance.

Thats the problem with comparing different size SSD's with each other. Depending on the architechture, the number of channels to the NAND (affecting access) can vary. Rule of thumb is the bigger the drive the more memory channels, thus the faster.

Don't really have an answer, but I wouldn't be surprised if their performance differences were not detectible by humans. Go for best price/company service.

Since they're both roughly the same price it really does come down to things like reliability and other unmeasurable factors, so has anybody heard of any major issues with either of these two drives/companies?

I opted for the inferno only because there was not a firmware update required. It was also my first ssd and I didn't want it to be a sour experience by bricking my first drive. The experience has been very good though better then my 3 raptor raid 0.

Sorry about that by require i ment having one to download which g. Skill does have not that it is required for operation.

Truth be told, I'm far more interested in reliability than performance because I want this SSD to last me four years.

Is it true that Intel still makes the most reliable SSDs?
